Transport 2030 – Support for research, development and innovation in transport

Get a subsidy for your transport research and development project with us! Another public competition is here and we know how to succeed in it.

A new programme aimed at supporting applied research and innovation in the transport sector has been approved by the government. It is the successor to the popular Transport 2020+ programme, which also focused on safety and sustainability in transport or on its automation and digitalisation.

Nearly 2 billion crowns will be allocated to transport research projects between 2023 and 2030. A strong emphasis will be placed on cooperation between businesses and research organisations. This will make it easier to put research and development results into practice.

As was the case with the previous programme, the TAČR plans to launch one public competition each year, in which up to CZK 50 million can be awarded for one project.

The main areas of support are:

• Sustainable, accessible and safe transportation
• Automation, digitalisation and technologically advanced transportation
• Low-emission and environmentally friendly transportation

What can you get a subsidy for?

The maximum amount of support is set at 40 million CZK for the entire project, while it is possible to finance mainly personal costs of development workers, costs of subcontracts or indirect costs.
